In December, 2016 ATI purchased a 2013 Freightliner Cascadia to add to the fleet. The purchase of this truck will help to ensure that we continue to train on the same late model equipment students will operate in the driving industry. The unit has a 10 speed manual transmission, Cummins lsx’10 15 liter engine and produces 450 horsepower.
With the help of Russ Carrigan, with Ryder in Tennessee, and Dick Daigle, ATI Campus President, we were able to purchase this truck and start modifications to meet the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle regulations before the end of 2016. Our goal is to complete modification/inspections and put the unit into service by spring.
