The Student Veterans of America’s ATI chapter welcomed two speakers for their April meeting. Cynthia Simpson from William E. Wood Realtors spoke on the benefits that veterans have regarding the purchase of a new home.
Gwenth Benton, a loan officer with Towne Bank, spoke on the process for veterans to obtain a mortgage. Some of the information the ladies presented was very surprising in that quite a few of the veterans did not know there were so many resources available to them if they wanted to own their own home.
If you are in the military or are a veteran, come on out to the next meeting. The date will be posted on the SVA board at the main campus. There are always good information sessions offered, and some good fellowship with your fellow veteran students.
