ATI Expands Curriculum Across the Campus

ATI Expands Curriculum Across the Campus

The Program Advisory Committees asked ATI to expand curriculum in order to enhance the students’ basic knowledge before entering the workforce.  ATI has designed the new courses to provide students more hands on training at a higher level. Each core program, Automotive, Heavy Vehicle, HVAC and Maritime Welding will add one more advanced skills course. Total length in time will be approximately 15 months to complete. The courses are as follows:

  • AUT231 Light Duty Diesel Technology – A detailed study of automotive and light duty truck diesel engines.
  • HVA231 Advanced Troubleshooting, Repair and Installation – Explores more advanced scenarios for troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment.
  • HVT244 Heavy Vehicle Electrical and Electronics II – Covers the fundamentals of Heavy Vehicle computer controls and diagnostics.
  • MWT222 Advanced Process Projects and Certification – Utilizes multi-process fabrication and welding projects from engineered drawings with an opportunity to earn AWS B2.1 Certification in FCAW and GTAW.

If you are already registered in one of our core programs, please see one of our local advisors if you are interested in updating your program.
